South Valley Map

South Valley is one of the biggest areas here in Albuquerque. It is also known as Barelas. This area has strong connection with Hispanic culture. First thing you’ll notice when you come here are tasty Mexican and New Mexican cuisine along with National Cultural Center.

Barelas is very close to airport, only four miles. During the summer, South Valley hosts many artistic activities, cultural events and performances. Community Bareles is more than three hundred years old. Many Mexican and Spanish people lived here hundred years ago. Its rural area is one of the kind.
